Friendship Park is located across the street from Town Hall on NC Highway 125.  Danny Ellis, former Town Administrator, was instrumental in the construction and initiation of the project when it was started around 2001.  The park was the first project of many to follow that eventually transformed a dilapidated and barren main street into what it is today.
